New Forest District Council have produced a Sites and Development Management Plan for consultation.

This Plan sets out detailed policies and proposals to help achieve the Council’s Core Strategy in the areas of the District outside the New Forest National Park. The Plan includes allocations of land for development.

The Plan is now at the stage for formal representations to be made. These representations must be made to the Council by the 2nd of March 2012. At the end of this period the Council will have to decide whether or not to proceed with Submission of the plan to the Secretary of State for the process of Public Examination.

The Plan, Sustainability Appraisal and background papers can all be viewed here.
