Bury Metropolitan Council has produced a Second Draft Publication Core Strategy.

This is now out for consultation until the 30th of November 2012.

The previous version of the Core Strategy was submitted to the Secretary of State in January 2011, with a hearing formally opened on 12 May 2011. However, following issues raised at the hearing the Council reluctantly reached a decision to seek a formal direction from the Secretary of State to withdraw the Core Strategy.
