Pendle in Lancashire is consulting on the final version of it’s Core Strategy before examination.

Land owners, business, and residents have until 3rd of December 2012 to comment on the strategic planning policy for the Borough.

The Pendle Core Strategy identifies the need for a minimum of 3,375 new homes up to 2028. To be delivered as follows:

2013-2018 825

2018-2023 1,275

2023-2028 1,275

These new homes will be provided in the following locations: 30% in Nelson; 25% Colne; 10% Brierfield; 6% Barrowford; 10% Barnoldswick; 6% Earby; and 13% in Rural Pendle.

The Pendle Core Strategy also seeks to allocate over 50 hectares of land for employment and economic development.
