Doncaster are consulting on the latest draft of their Sites and Policies Development Plan. This document identifies sites for new development, areas of land that warrant protection or enhancement and sets detailed policies on which planning applications are assessed.

This document builds on a draft version of the document produced earlier this year.

The Council are now consulting on a revised plan with housing and employment sites. And new sites suggested for housing. This plan will run until 2028 and will allocate land for 18,450 homes. This will be distributed in these key areas:

Doncaster main area (including Bentley, Bessacarr, Balby and more), Thorne, Mexborough, Conisbrough, Adwick and Woodlands, Armthorpe, Askern, Rossington, Stainforth and Hatfield as well as more in Denaby, Edlington, Carcroft and Skellow and Moorends

The Plan will also allocate land in the borough for 290 hectares of distribution warehousing, 190 hectares of light industry and manufacturing and space for 140,000 square metres of new office use.
