The Government has created a £10 million fund to help local councils support parishes and neighbourhood groups to prepare neighbourhood plans.

Councils can apply for up to £30,000 to facilitate local groups in the preparation of plans for their area.

This funding will be released in two payments – £5,000 on designation of a neighbourhood planning area and up to £25,000 on the successful completion of an independent neighbourhood planning examination.

This funding will allow over 300 neighbourhoods to pursue their neighbourhood plans. If you are one of these and you need expert help call 01282 872570.
