Neighbourhood Plan Funding Increase
Locality have announced that the basic neighbourood planning grant has increased from £9,000 to £10,000. Neighbourhood Plans £22.8 funding to 2022
Communities preparing neighbourhood plans in England are set to benefit from a package of government support worth £22.8 million to help them develop plans to give them a real say in the development of their area. Housing Minister Alok Sharma confirmed how the cash boost will support communities, help build more homes and give locals more say over growth in their area (link). The funding, which will be around £5.5 million per year until 2022, will provide communities with specialist support to help develop a Neighbourhood Plan. Everton Neighbourhood Plan Consultation
Everton NDP, Bassetlaw, Nottinghamshire – has been published for Regulation 14 consultation until 5th June – to see a copy of the plan visit the Parish Council website: http://www.evertonvillage.org.uk . The Everton NDP includes proposed sites for new housing and a range of planning policies to protect landscape, wildlife and built heritage and to support investment in new community and recreational facilities in the village. Marden referendum “yes” becomes neighbourhood plan number 12 for Kirkwells
The successful “yes” vote in the Marden Neighbourhood Plan referendum made this the twelfth plan Kirkwells have supported to this key stage. On a turnout of just over 33% of eligible voters, 314 voted “yes” to the plan being made part of the development plan in Herefordshire, with 49 “no” votes”. Neighbourhood Plan Referendum “Yes” in Herefordshire
On a turnout of 43.19%, voters in Eardisland, Herefordshire, voted for their neighbourhood plan to be made part of the development plan in the County. Kirkwells have been supporting the Parish Council in the preparation of their plan. All the documentation relating to the plan’s preparation can been seen on the Herefordshire Council web site. 2 More Neighbourhood Plan “Yes” Votes
Two more of Kirkwells’ Neighbourhood Plan clients recorded successful “yes” votes at referendum. This brings to nine the number of areas we have helped to get over the final hurdle. Thursday’s “yes” votes were both in Herefordshire – with Brimfield and Little Hereford and Wellington parishes voting. On a turnout of 45.6%, over 91% of voters in Brimfield and Little Hereford voted “yes” for their neighbourhood plan. In Wellington, turnout was 32.7% and over 87% voted “yes”. Whitnash “Yes” to Neighbourhood Plan
The people of Whitnash have voted “yes” in the latest neighbourhood plan referendum. The YES vote was 926 (92.6%) the NO vote was 68( 6.8%). The turnout was 15%. The Whitnash neighbourhood plan was prepared by a Steering Group of town councillors and local volunteers. Kirkwells provided support with policy and plan writing, assembling the evidence base, advice on community engagement and the neighbourhood plan examination. Stretton Sugwas Neighbourhood Plan Consultation
The Stretton Sugwas Draft Neighbourhood Development Plan has just been published for 6 weeks of formal public consultation from 14 September to 26 October 2015. The Plan focuses on criteria based policies ti manage new development in this rural area to the west of the city of Hereford. To find out more about the plan, click here. Branston says “yes” in another Neighbourhood Plan referendum
On Thursday July 23rd voters chose to say “yes” to the Branston Neighbourhood Plan becoming part of East Staffordshire’s Development Plan. 80.5% of those voting said “Yes” (599 people) and 19.5% (145 people) voted “No”. Kirkwells supported Branston Parish Council in preparing the Neighbourhood Plan. Kirkwells have helped over 50 areas with neighbourhood planning. Neighbourhood Plan Referendums – 14 “yes” votes
6th of May was “Super Thursday” for Kirkwells and many of our parishes and town councils preparing neighbourhood plans – together we had 15 “yes” votes. Congratulations on successful results are due to: Steeton, Silsden and Eastburn Colwall Stretton Grandison Everton Brampton Abbots and Foy Garway Ashton Allensmore Royal Leaminton Spa Kemble and Ewen Alvington Burntwood Clehonger Alderley Edge Radford Semele In one of the largest votes of this kind, 11, 703 residents of Royal Leamington Spa (88.3% of those voting) voted “yes” for the town’s neighbourhood plan to be made.
