Get Britain Building Fund Extended
The Government’s Get Britain Building fund has been extended with an extra £100 million being made available for a second round of bids. Get Britain Building offers financial support to housing sites with planning permission for 15 units, or more, where development has stalled. The funding is offered as either a direct investment in the development in the form of a loan, or by the administers of the fund, the Homes and Communities Agency, taking an equity stake in the development. Derbyshire Dales Consults on Future Housing
Derbyshire Dales have started a six week consultation on where 4,400 new homes should be built up to 2028. The 4,400 new homes will be allocated in the forthcoming Derbyshire Dales Local Plan. To meet the target provisional distributions have been earmarked: 270 new homes in Matlock; 60 in Wirksworth; 160 in Darley Dale; 30 in Tansley; 400 in Ashbourne; 50 in Doveridge; and 50 in Brailsford As part of this consultation revised Settlement boundaries have also been identified. Dwellinghouses, Houses in Multiple Occupation and Article 4 Directions
Aside from other regulatory services controlling and licensing houses in multiple occupation (HMO), in April 2010, an amendment to the Town & Country Planning (Use Classes) Order split the C3 (dwellinghouses) class, into two separate classes: 1. Class C3: Dwellinghouses – this class is formed of 3 parts: C3(a): those living together as a single household as defined by the Housing Act 2004 (basically a ‘family’); C3(b): those living together as a single household and receiving care, and C3(c): those living together as a single household who do not fall within the C4 definition of a house in multiple occupation. 2. Kirkwells Supporting New Housing in Burnley
New Development Underway in Burnley Kirkwells have been supporting Burnley Council in their regeneration of the south western part of the Borough. Over 150 homes are expected to be built in the area by developer Keepmoat. A report to make a compulsory purchase order will be presented to the Council’s Executive on the 13th of December, 2011. Steve Tilly, from Burnley Council’s housing and regeneration team said: “The proposed redevelopment of this site will deliver a wider variety of housing in terms of size, type and tenure in order to create a more balanced housing market and help develop a more mixed, inclusive and sustainable community.” To bring about the redevelopment compulsory purchase powers are being used by the Council.
